Twilight Criterium

The streets of downtown Boise become electrified as the Twilight Criterium sweeps through. This event is billed as a “fast-paced, high stakes” cycling race. More than 20,000 spectators from all over the world converge on the city to watch as professional cyclists whiz by in the battle to be the best. Kids, you haven’t been forgotten. Experience the chance to ride on the actual racecourse and get a t-shirt to prove you did it.

The foundation of this event, which dates back to 1897, remains agriculture. Fairgoers can watch chickens hatch, see a livestock show or browse organic produce. Fantastic concerts and entertaining shows compete with unique events (such as the “Axe Women Loggers of Maine”), live wild animals and the wacky and wonderful Kids Celebration for top honors. Grab a funnel cake and head over to the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull or grab a seat and let a hypnotist try to put you in a trance. A day at the fair promises fun for the whole family!

The Fit One 5K (or 10K or half marathon) benefits St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital, which is Idaho’s only children’s hospital and operates as a non-profit, never turning a child away due to a family’s inability to pay for services. Thanks to the support of Fit One, St. Luke’s is able to care for more than 71,000 each year. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get moving!
